BRIEF COURSES

 

This cookery course, consisting of few hours, does not claim to turn the student into a skilled cook, but it will supply him with the basic techniques, enabling him to prepare excellent dishes, chosen among those of traditional Italian cuisine, and particularly of Tuscan and Florentine one.

Under the teachers’ expert guidance, the student will learn the secrets to make up several dishes, following every stage step by step. So, starting from the single ingredients, he will learn to blend them into a harmonious whole. The resulting dish will stimulate all the senses one by one: sight (the way in which the food is presented), smell (its scents), touch (cold-hot, crisp-tender contrast) and finally taste (flavours’ harmony and balance).

Particular attention will be paid both to cooking times and temperatures, and to traditions and historical origins of each recipe.

The way in which the food is presented is very important too. In fact an accurate presentation favours the success of a dish, as it appetize for a better tasting.

 

WINE TASTING COURSES

 

This brief course does not make you a professional sommelier, but gives you the elements of wines classification, tasting and coupling.

 

  Subject of the course:

-Typologies of wines, Classification of wines, Chief Italian grapes, Reading of the label, How to keep and serve a wine.

-Tasting of a wine: Visual test, Olfactory test, Taste test, Coupling with the food, Tasting and coupling practice.

 

during each lesson five different wines will be tasted: two white, two red and a dessert one.

 

Every wine will be coupled with suitable dishes.

 

PROFESSIONAL COURSES

 

This complete course, explains both the basic techniques needed to make each dish and the tips for preparing many other similar dishes.

Each lesson lasts four hours.

Our staff consists of three people, at complete disposal of the student.

The participant receives a colour book both in English and in Italian.

 

OTHER COURSES

 

Pasta, Pizza, Tuscan desserts, Ice-cream, Chocolate, and other...
