During my travels, I have always
tasted the typical food of the place where I was and I have discovered
that it is necessary to learn the culture and the customs of a country
to fully appreciate its cookery. Only learning its history and traditions,
we shall be able to fully savour the tastes and the flavours of that particular
cuisine.
A simple recipe, even if
made by a great chef, will never be able to restore the real flavours we
shall appreciate only after assimilating the culture of the people to which
it belongs.
If we shall be able to think
like that people, we can assert there is not a cookery that is better than
another, but there are a lot of different excellent cuisines.
For that reason “Magici
Sapori” does not just teach the techniques of Tuscan and Italian cuisine,
but it explains the history and the origins of each recipe, so communicating
the frame of mind and the knowledge that are essential to appreciate our
country’s scents and flavours.

Our Italian language school
is located on one of the most beautiful streets in Florence, Via Martelli,
a few steps from Piazza del Duomo, in the heart of the city. It is situated
in a prestigious XVII century building, Palazzo Testa, and offers a truly
unique environment for all those who wish to study the Italian language
and culture. From the windows of the classrooms one can enjoy an amazing
close-up view of the Cathedral and Brunelleschi’s dome, the city’s symbol
and the majestic Palazzo Medici-Riccardi. In very few minutes, from the
Institute one can reach all the main museums and monuments of the city
by foot.
